KSC SWIMMERS FINISH SECTIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH A BANG!!!

KSC Swimmers wrap up the 2011 Speedo Northwest Sectional Championships in style breaking a grand total of 13 Hawaii State Records and finishing 11th out of 154 teams.

Some of the highlights of the final two days of competition...

Jasmine Mau became the first individual KSC event champion by surprising the field out of lane 8 in the 50 free with a winning time of 23.34 which was also under the 15-16 girls Hawaii State Record.  Summer Harrison also had a strong performance tuning in a time of 24.13 which was good for 24th place.

Kacy Johnson finished 4th in the men's 200 IM with a time of 1:52.94.

Anu Nihipali finished 14th in the 100 Back with a time of 56.57.

The women's 400 Free relay team of Summer Harrison, Anu Nihipali, Natsuko Muranaka, and Jasmine Mau broke the 15-16 girls 400 Free Relay Hawaiian Record with a time of 3:31.76

The women's 400 Medley relay team of Anu Nihipali, Kira Fox, Summer Harrison, and Jasmine Mau also took nearly 10 seconds off the existing Hawaiian record with a time of 3:53.20.

Kevin Frifeldt broke his own 13-14 boys 100 Fly Hawaiian Record with a time of 50.49.

Jasmine Mau broke her own 15-16 girls 100 Fly Hawaiian Record with a time of 55.64.

All of the girls 15-16 relays were the fastest perfomances EVER by teams from Hawaii breaking all the existing Hawaii Senior Records.

KSC finished the meet in 11th place, the highest finish ever by a Hawaii team.
