The Al Minn Invitational in Kailua was a great success with a lot of fast swims and great competitive spirit! Thank you to all our parents who volunteered at the meet!!

Congratulations to all the high point earners: Alison Cox (10&Under Girls), Henry Green (10&Under Boys), Rahlee Davis (11-12 Girls), Flexx Faildo (13-14 boys), and Journei Webster (Open Women).

KSC won this year’s 2023 Smoke on the Water relay and set a meet record. The relay consisted of Henry Green, Alison Cox, Rahlee Davis, Cooper Ketchen, Makoa Cox, Journei Webster, Flexx Faildo, and Kamakana Kaahaaina.

We would like to congratulate the two best improvements from each age group division starting with our youngest swimmers.

10 and Under

Ina Rutka lowered her 100 butterfly time by 7.52 seconds with a new best time of 1:32.74, gaining a new state qualifying time.

River Shin lowered his 50 breastroke time by 9 seconds with a time of 49.96.

 

11-12 Division

Ryker Perales lowered his 100 butterfly, dropping 15.34 seconds with a time of 1:10.14, gaining a new state qualifying time.

Maya Leong lowered her 100 freestyle time, dropping 6.28 seconds with a new personal best time of time of 1:07.36.

 

13-14 Division

Amari Chang crushed her 200 butterfly time by 14.29 seconds with a time of 2:35.19

Dashiell Liou-Johnston improved his 500 freestyle time by a whopping 35.17 seconds with a new personal best time of 5:47.34.

 

Open Division

Timothy Lorge improved his 200 breaststroke time, dropping 10.99 seconds with a time 2:22.34.

Caitlyn Moore made improvements in her 500 freestyle, dropping 12.79 seconds with a new personal best time of 5:55.94.
