2024 Senior Long Course Championships at VMAC
Congratulations to Kamehameha Swim Club for swimming fast and coming in first place at this year’s Long Course Senior Championships. There were many great swims from our  swimmers (and coaches). We had a team record, 1 new futures qualifier, and 1 new sectional qualifier. 
Amar’e San Diego for securing a new personal best time and team record of 2:28.08 in  the 200 breaststroke. Not too far behind was Kaenan Joyce, with a new best time of 2:28.37 in the 200 breaststroke, securing him a Futures qualification time. Evan Lim secured  Senior Sectional qualifying time in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:11.38. Congratulations boys!  We would like to thank all of our parents that took time out of their day  to  help volunteer, the meet wouldn't be possible with you all. Here are some highlights:
Exceptional Performances Men

Jordan Bridgeford made the best improvements in in his 100 butterfly, finishing with a time of 1:03.77, shattering his previous time by 5.76 seconds.

Dashiell Liou Johnson had a terrific 200 IM, dropping a little more than 15 seconds and stopping the clock at 2:50.13.

Elijah Whitford dropped 5 seconds to go his best time yet in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:07.63.

Tali Leauanae finished with a new personal best time of 1:17.12 in the 100 breaststroke with an almost 5 second drop from just over a couple of weeks ago.

Congratulations Jordan, Dash, Elijah, and Tali on your exceptional performances. 

 

Exceptional Performances Women

Hannah Sanders had a blistering fast 50 freestyle with a time of 30.52 seconds, dropping 1.81 seconds.

Isabelle Kees had her best 50 freestyle time yet, finishing with a new personal best time of 29.04.

Emily Gorokhovsky had her best 100 backstroke yet, dropping almost 2 second, Emily finished with a new best time of 1:09.69. 

Tai Misailidis lowered her 200 breaststroke, dropping 3.15 seconds, and finishing with a new best time of 2:46.81. 

 

Congratulations Hannah, Isabelle, Emily, and Tai on your exceptional performances. 

 

Thank you to all the parent volunteers that came and helped during the swim meet. Great job to all the swimmers that swam.
