Kamehameha Swim Club

The 76th Keo Nakama Invitational was great this year with teams from different parts of the USA, Canada, and Guam. We would like to congratulate Jia Kim (10) and Henry Green (10) for earning the high point award in their age -group division. There were many personal best and State times earned at this meet, but we wouldn’t be able to fit them all in this article. Below are the two best performances in each age group.

 

10&Under

Ina Rutka gained a new best time in her 100 breaststroke by over 15 seconds with a time of 1:34.99Lennox Coglietta also had a great 100 breaststroke with a personal best of 2:05.70, dropping 12.34 seconds.

 

11-12

Caroline Biddle swam her best 200 butterfly last weekend, besting her time by almost 30 seconds, stopping the clock at 3:09.53Ryker Perales had a solid 100 butterfly last week, dropping 18.52 seconds, stopping the clock at 1:11.16

 

13-14 

Hannah Sanders swam her fastest 200 freestyle with a new personal best time of 2:29.16, dropping 12.19 secondsKoanui Keaulana swam his best 200 butterfly dropping his time by 18.95 seconds, stopping the clock at 2:32.61.

 

15-18

Marley Iraha had a great 100 butterfly, dropping 4.13 seconds and clocking in at a time of 1:19.50Talimanaia Leauanae had a strong 400 freestyle, lowering his time by close to 30 seconds, clocking in with a new personal best time of 4:42.97.

 

This year’s 76th Annual Keo Nakama meet was an eventful invite with many fast swims and good times. I would like to thank the parents and swimmers that came and volunteered during the meet. Congratulations to all those that raced. 
 
Kamehameha Swim Club has also sent 7 boys that will be competing at Senior Sectional Championship meet in Mt. Hood Oregon from 7/11-14. Good luck Luke Biddle, Derek Hunsaker, Kaenan Joyce, Evan Lim, Tim Lorge, Amar’e San Diego, and Nicholas Xu. Swim fast and good luck at Sectionals!
