Kailua ABC Meet

This weekend we had a great ABC swim meet at the Kailua District Park with many best times. Here are some highlights from last weekend’s meet: 

10 & Under Age-Group

Christopher Navarro   crushed his previous time in the  100 backstroke  and improved his time by 26.16 seconds, clocking in at 1:35.24. 
Kealaula Duarte  gained a best time in her  50 breaststroke , dropping 5.49 seconds,  with a new best time of 44.85.

11-12 Age-Group

Marcus Meteliz   and Kaya Nohara-Pang    swam great last weekend. 
Marcus   dropped 5 seconds in the  50 backstroke  with a time of 1: 00 . 21 . 
Kaya   swam her best  100  freestyl e  with a time of  1 :2 7 . 7 1 , dropping 9.62 seconds off her previous time.

13-14 Age-Group

Ava Meyer   swam her fastest 50 freestyle, dropping 2.53 seconds and finishing with a time of 1:16.99. 
Kala’iakea Kuehu-Paul   had a terrific race in the  10 0 freestyle  with a time of 1: 1 3.87 , dropping 10.57 seconds

Senior Meet at Punahou

 

KSC competed in the Senior meet Punahou School this past Saturday. We had great swims and great competition. Below is the top improvements in the men’s and women’s divisions:

 

Men’s Division

Torbjorn Lerrand (16) dropped 5.82 seconds in his 200 breast stroke, gaining a new best time of 2:32.55.

Cheveyo Rodriquez (13) gained a new personal best time in his 200 backstroke with a time of 2:11.32, dropping 5.44 seconds.

Jacob Gorokhovsky (18) swam his best time in his 50 freestyle with a time of 25.23, dropping .62 seconds.
Ryker Perales (12)  swam his best time in his 200 backstroke  with a time of 2:23.04, dropping 10 seconds.

 

Women’s Division

Madeline Stuemke (14) swam a new personal best time in the 100 freestyle with a time of 55.11, dropping almost 2 seconds.

Corey Farah (16) dropped 4 seconds in her 200 backstroke with a new personal best time of 2:14.91.

Kona Flanagan(16) gained a new personal best time in her 200 butterfly with a time of 2:14.38, dropping 4 seconds.
