Ten years of KSC dominance resulted in the Twentieth Straight Hawaii State Championship for the Kamehameha Swim Club. KSC tallied 1968 points, over 1000 points ahead of the second place team. In total, 7 Hawaiian Records were broken by KSC swimmers. The meet was capped off with a National Age Group record by the 15-16 boys 200 Free Relay. Swimmers Kevin Frifeldt, Ka`ikena Naone, Ryan Stack, and Kanoa Kaleoaloha established the new National Record with a time of 1:36.37 for 200 Free Relay. This will be the only record on...

KSC will be attending 3 of the 4 North Shore Swim Series races this summer. Dates for the races are June 23, July 21, Aug 4. The first race is the Summer Sprint and early entries need to be postmarked by June 13. Swimmers can register on active.com or use the application at http://hawaiiswim.com/NSSSAPP.pdf... . Also a reminder that there is no Saturday workout on June 9 due to the Rainbow Invitational.

KSC was proud to host five swimmers of the Australian Olympic Team, including World Champion in the 100 Freestyle, James Magnussen. The swimmers took pictures, signed autographs and gave lots of helpful tips to all KSC Swimmers who were present. Keep an eye out for these swimmers in London 2012!

Swimmers Kacy Johnson, Kale Ai, Jacob Urbano, Jasmine Mau, Summer Harrison, Anu Nihipali were all selected by USA and Hawaiian Swimming to represent Team Hawaii in the upcoming Oceania Championships to be held in New Caledonia at the end of May. USA Swimming will be sending the team of eight Hawaii swimmers (6 KSC Swimmers) to participate in the competition that will include contingents from such countries as Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Samoa, and many other countries from the Oceania region. Ryan Stack was recently selected by USA Swimming to participate in the annual Diversity Select Camp. With only a handful of swimmers selected from across the country, Ryan will be traveling to Colorado Springs, CO to train at the US Olympic Training center. Congratulations Ryan!!!

To say KSC swam well this past weekend at the 2012 Northwest Regional Sectional Championships would be a huge understatement. KSC established 8 New Hawaiian Records on the way to a 12th place team finish in a competition with over 100 teams. Summer Harrison became the first female swimmer from Hawaii to qualify for the upcoming 2012 USA Olympic Team trials with her 3rd place finish in the women's 100 Fly. KSC swimmers put on a dominating performance in the 2011 Hawaii State Age Group Championships which were held in Kona Dec 16th-19th. 12 New Hawaii State records were established as KSC swimmers tallied 1712.5 total points en route to the 19th straight state championship.
